According to information on last year 2017 Jamb exam, the Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB CBT Examination is set to finally hold on December 2017 to February 6, 2017 as new date for the commencement of the sale of the 2018 UTME application forms.

News section – The exam body said the registration would take place in over 700 computer based test (CBT) centres in 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The organization’s Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, made the announcement in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
He said the exercise would end in February next year.

The statement reads, “We will also want to state clearly that the board does not post candidates to any examination town other than the one chosen by the candidate at the point of registration.

“Candidates are, however, advised to register on time before the available spaces in their town of choice are exhausted.

“The registration exercise started on Wednesday 6th December, 2017 and as at today so many candidates have text their names using their phone numbers to 55019 and got their profile registered. After which they equally proceeded to the CBT centres for registration.

“The exercise from our tour of centres today clearly showed that this is one of the best registration regime of the board in recent time. It is easy, smooth and hitch free. This system is simple and convenient, candidates are requested to do it themselves to avoid being defrauded by anybody.

“Candidates can purchase the e -pins using their ATM or through Interswitch, Remita and other online platforms at the comfort of their homes.

“The Board offices are available for any challenge encountered by candidate while trying to obtain the e -pin to register for the 2018 exercise.

“Candidates who desire to register for the optional mock are also urged to do so as the platform will be withdrawn by the 30th of December, 2017 and only those who registered and indicated their interest on or before that time will be enlisted to participate.

“The board again reiterated its avowed commitment to conduct a hitch free examination and advance the cause of any Nigerian child desirous of qualitative tertiary education in the country. This is the beginning of the 2018 process.”

JAMB Boss, Prof Oloyede had earlier pleaded to all anticipating candidate for delay on the registration. In his statement, he briefly analyse that the postponement was due to the initial date slated for the form sales due to the delay in meeting the agreed deadline by the publisher of the compulsory reading text meant for the prospective candidates.

How to Register For JAMB 2019/2020 Registration Form Online

1. 2019/2020 JAMB UTME PROFILE REGISTRATION

A mobile phobe number must be limited to only one candidate, The Cell phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the Candidate’s name and will be used to communicate to the candidate or applicant on news and issues relating to his/her 2019 Application.

Candidate will send his/her name [Surname, First-Name, Middle-Name (if any) ] by text (SMS) to this should be maximum of 38 characters + 2 spaces between names = 40 characters in all to 55019 e.g Tinubu Adamu Odumegwu ( Surname and first name are mandatory)

A Profile Code of 10 characters is received by the candidate on the same telephone number.

2. JAMB 2019/2020 Accredited ePIN SELLING POINTS CENTERS.

The ePIN outlets are:

  • NIPOST and eleven Participating Banks (ACCESS, ECOBANK, FIRSTBANK, FCMB, FIDELITY, JAIZ, SKYE, STERLING, UNION, UNITY and ZENITH)
  • Four Mobile Money Operators: Paga, e-Tranzact (PocketMoni), TEASYPay and Packway Projects (Readycash)
  • Two participating Micro Finance Banks: FUD MFB (Dutse) and Regent MFB (Abuja)
  • Two online Payment Platforms: SystemSpecs (Remita) and InterSwitch (Quickteller)
  • POS (Citi-Serve)
  • ATMs of banks listed in 5C (i) above (InterSwitch)
  • USSD (NIBSS & ERCAS) for mobile banking
  • Nigerian Embassies in Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Buea, Cotonou, Jeddah, Johannesburg and London

3. SELF CARE SERVICES IN CASE OF ERROR IN PROFILE DURING REGISTRATION

To rectify a mistake in candidate’s name, send the [CORRECT Surname First-Name Middle-Name] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number used during jamb CBT Registration.
To retrieve a lost Profile Code, send [RESEND] to 55019 as text message from the same mobile number

 

4. PAYMENT MODES/METHODS USED FOR PURCHASING OF ePIN FOR REGISTRATION

A – PAYMENT THROUGH BANKS DEPOSIT

INCLUDING MICRO FINANCE BANKS

Present Profile Code and pay by cash or card ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

B – PAYMENT METHOD THROUGH POS

This is available at State Offices of JAMB + CBT Centres, other POS outlets and any CBT Centre that demands it
Present Profile Code and pay by card
ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

C – PAYMENT THROUGH MOBILE MONEY OPERATORS

This is available at CBT Centres and Other Outlets Present Profile Code and pay by cash ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

D – PAYMENT USING ATM

This is available on all ATM outlets of Participating Banks listed in C(I) (InterSwitch Channel)
Select Bill Payment and then pick JAMB
Enter Profile Code and pay
ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

E – ONLINE PAYMENT ON JAMB PORTAL
Visit JAMB website: jamb.gov.ng

  • Click Purchase of 2018 Application Document
  • Enter your Profile Code
    Select payment method (InterSwitch or Remita)
  • Make payment
  • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

PAYMENTS USING USSD (NIBSS/ERCAS)

  • Dial *565*6*55019#
  • Enter Profile Code
  • Select bank and follow the prompts to complete payment
  • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

6. HOW TO RECOVER LOST ePIN AFTER PAYMENT

1. If ePIN is not Received or Lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively from the unique number
2. The ePIN would then be retrieved and delivered on the candidate’s unique number
AFTER SUCCESSFUL PAYMENT AND OBTAINING ePIN, CANDIDATE SHOULD PROCEED TO ANY OF THE JAMB ACCREDITED CBT CENTRES TO COMPLETE HIS/HER REGISTRATION.
