LASU Matriculates 4,714, Takes Oath at LASU For 2015/2016 Session

The Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, administered matriculation oath  on Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Fourteen [4,714] newly admitted students – for the 2015/2016 academic session.
The Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Professor ‘Lanre Fagbohun has stated with pride that the University has produced great and exceptional minds, who have contributed immensely to the development of the Country and elsewhere.
Prof. Fagbohun reminded the matriculating students of the oath of allegiance to the University which they took, saying they must contribute positively to the development and success of the University. “The process of matriculation which you are undergoing today is a demonstration of the adoption of student’s duties and obtaining of student’s rights. It is upon matriculation that your name is entered into the register of the University, and at which point you become a proud member of the University. You pledge to respect all constituted authorities, abide by the laws, rules and regulations of the University and to positively support your institution at all times”, he added.
The Vice Chancellor informed the audience in the capacity filled auditorium that the 2015/2016 admission exercise was transparent and largely merit driven. He told the Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Fourteen [4,714] newly admitted students, that they must realise the very enviable position they occupy as students of the Institution.
